29.10.03 Report about PPSR-2003

The regular International meeting “Problems of Applied Spectrometry and Radiometry–2003” was held on October 14-16 in holiday home "Morozovka", that is situated in one of the picturesque places of Moscow Region. The participants did not only have a chance to work effectively, but also to enjoy wide range of holiday services. More that 80 experts from Russia, the Ukraine, Byelorussia, Latvia and Kazakhstan took part in “PASR-2003”.

About 30 reports were heard at the meeting, among them there were 4 reports made by 4 SPC experts concerning the recent developments. The most interesting was found the report of Savin V.M. about our new device—inventory device of radioactive waste.

The companies-organizers of “PASR-2003” also exhibited their modern equipment. SPC Aspect showed the latest models of spectrometric ADC, scintillation gamma-detectors, universal radiometer-spectrometer MKC-A03 and survey dosimeter-radiometer MKC-05.

The next, eighth, PPSR meeting will be held in October 2004 in Yurmala, Latvia.
